Glass Blowing demo for a school group and a clay workshop for adults with dementia.

What a thoroughly lovely day! This morning I had the pleasure of doing a glass blowing demonstration for a school group at The Red House Glass Cone in Stourbridge. Their faces lit up when I showed them how to make an icicle to hang on the Christmas tree. A few pupils had a go at blowing a big glass bubble and I also demonstrated how to make a bowl.

This was followed by a very tasty lunch and a clay workshop at Bilston Pentecostal Church in the afternoon. Using air drying clay, I showed the group how to make heart shaped thumb pots with interesting impressions on the surface. Everyone loved it and were engaged throughout the session talking about their work and helping each other. It was a lovely experience to be part of and one I will definitely repeat in the future.
